For those who read this in time, many at PantheaCon and around the country are joining in a Roll of Thunder to hold sacred space in the spirit of compassion and justice Roll of Thunder: Hold space at 12 midnight (eastern time)/ 9pm (pacific time) in your own home in support of transgender inclusion at PantheaCon and all places. Here is a sample prayer I wrote if you need one:
"Great Mother of All, you who weave the web that connects all people and things, I call out to you. The hearts of your children are breaking. They cry out for understanding and compassion.Be with us in this time and space.
Though the words of the hateful and fearful are loud, we know you are louder. Though the heads of the insecure are high, you rise above all things. Though change has not yet been seen, you change all things in the end. Everything you touch changes.
Queen of Heaven, known as Inanna, Ishtar, Astarte, and by many other names. You who are protectress of gala-tura and the kur-jara, hear these words and may they please you. Fierce lover who dances among the stars, to you we sing in highest praise. The flame of change bursts forth from your piercing eyes. By you, the scorned are held up and guided to safety.
Goddess of the deep heart, of limitless love, bless us this night. Hold the pain of your daughters and sons in your shinning hands. Hold it and instill in its place, the center from which we all were born.
It is you who are the point in the circumference. We tread the mill of your starry crown and take joy. For we know that because of your love, ALL bodies are sacred. All bodies are loved. All bodies are made in your holy image.
May it be so, so be it, so mote it be.."
